PROJECT 2 - Visual Effect 30 Second Video
During the class, we were require to come out with a plot segmentation by selecting a Zach King's video. Therefore, we have to come out with our own idea. Below is the Zach King's video :

From the beginning, I came out with my first plot segmentation :
  1. H is playing laptop
  2. But suddenly feels hungry
  3. H searching for food
  4. H grab food from the screen
  5. The sauce drip onto the cloth
  6. H grab a paper and the smudge is gone
  7. H continues to eat

However, things are not going well. I found it hard to shoot the sauce drip on the cloth. Moreover, the video is too long for two visual effects. Therefore, I decided to cut off the sauce drip scene and continue with the grab food from screen effect.

My new plot segmentation ;
  • H is playing laptop
  • H suddenly feels hungry
  • H search for food
  • H grab food from the screen
  • H enjoy food

REFLECTION
At first, I was very struggling on how to film this video because I have zero knowledge on filming video. Therefore, I pay attention on lectures and to observe how people film a nice video shoot, it sounds easy and I thought as long as I understand the angle and everything, I can shoot a good film. But, things are not as beautiful as imagined. I refilm and refilm tried many times but the shoots don't look nice and sometimes it is hard to get a very nice angle and brightness at the same time. I've gone though many trial and error to film until all the footage looks nice and consistent. Even though this took me a lot of times but it is worth because I have unlock new skills during the progress. Sometimes its useless to keep studying and understanding the slides, you have to do it to learn something.
