EXERCISE 1 - QUANTIFY DATA

Our first lecture starts by module briefing and we were required to create blog and share google drive for progression and submissions. Therefore, we were asked to look around in our home to find a jar of stuffs such as coins, candies and so on.

For the first exercise, we have to count our chosen items and arrange it on a piece of A4 paper to help us to visualize the quantity and data. Lastly, take picture of the final assembly and upload in google drive for submission.

Summary of exercise 1 :

At first, I only found a pile of coins in my room and I think most people would have that as well. So, I decided to go with something colourful and I bought a pack of candies to start to decorate it. Since the candies are colourful, I plan to make the background or drawings design simple so that it looks tidy and easy to read.

EXERCISE 2 - L.A.T.C.H.

After the first exercise, I have a clear concept of different types of infographic and then I have to start to create my own infographic.

Summary of exercise 2 :

At first, I already have a visual style in my mind before I begin with this exercise. I wanted to create something that is simple and have the same color scheme design. After I decide my topic which is wine and food pairings. I create the simple style of wines but can also easily differentiate the types of wine by the colours in the wine bottle. Then, I add in all the information that I have found through internet in different type face of the title, sub title and content.

REFLECTION

I like this module so much as it is very interesting to design an infographic that can deliver information to audience. We can play around with our imagination and creativity to design a nice poster with full of information. Overall, I learn many things in this module and I enjoyed all the exercises. I hope everything I learned from this module could improve my design communication ability in future.
